What if God told you to leave? Suppose He asks you to change your whole life, switch schools, change jobs, fore-go your careers plans and just trust Him for something new and different? Imagine God asks you to marry someone that you are unsure of. How would you respond if He asked you to speak openly in a public area and declare His truth? Would you do it? Would you obey if God asked you to support the very person who ruined your life? Could you wholeheartedly obey God when you are unsure of the task and you are even unsure of your own ability to complete it?

Hebrews 11:6, says this:

But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him.

Faith is the essential building block of a relationship with God. So often we boast about our spirituality and the changes we have made in our lives. This is all fine and good but God sees things a little differently.

Do you trust Him? Would you obey Him when the path is unclear? This is the challenge to those who declare that they walk with God. His words are pretty clear, “without faith NO ONE can please God”.

He rewards those who search for Him.  In other words, there are times where his presence, his direction and his purposes cannot be easily found. How you respond to those difficult moments make all the difference in how God views your trust in Him. It may require some persistence on your part. You may endure things that you don’t like or understand. Your pride may even take a hit. If pleasing God is your goal then it’s time to move out on faith. Who fares better?

Is it the person who plays it safe for their own well being or the person that would willingly lose it all to please God? It’s our comforts versus God’s risks. Don’t choose logically, choose faithfully. Bless.
